87% of the reports were about server connection issues, while 8% said they faced issues with Game Launch, and 5% said they could not log into the platform. Many users also complained that their data on the platform was deleted after the outage, though that seems to be limited only to some users.

Many players of Minecraft Realms reacted angrily to the outage on social media. Several posts were made on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Minecraft Realms being down during my two week minecraft obsession is so evil mojang talk to us,” one user wrote.
“It’s pretty funny that the same week that Hytale releases and starts getting traction, that Minecraft continues to go offline, despite advertising as ‘always online’, and they refuse to address it,” said one. “This makes the 2nd weekend in a row where Realms are down. What a joke.”
“The Realms are down again! Mind you, I’m paying for the service!” wrote another.
Microsoft acquired Mojang Studios, Minecraft’s developer, for $2.5 billion in 2014, making Minecraft part of its gaming portfolio.
