iPhone 16 Pro Vs Samsung S25 Ultra Genshin Impact Gaming Test: Max Graphics & FPS Tested
In this video, I’m testing out the iPhone 16 Pro and the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s gaming performance by playing one of the heaviest games, Genshin Impact on them. On the S25 Ultra, I’ve set the screen resolution to quad HD plus and the refresh rate is set to adaptive. The game optimization setting is also set to performance mode. The S25 Ultra is at 100% and the iPhone 16 Pro is at 82%. I’m configuring the highest settings on both the devices. Genshin Impact only supports 60 fps on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, whereas on the iPhone 16 Pro, it supports up to 120 fps. Both devices are now on overclocked settings. Let’s start. On the S25 Ultra, the game is running smoothly at 61 FPS at maxed out settings. The Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is easily handling the game without any lags, frame drops, or performance throttling. However, the phone is starting to get hot. The A18 Pro chip on the 16 Pro is also handling the game fine. But even though it supports 120 FPS, while playing the game on maxed out graphics, the FPS were mostly at around 60. [Music] [Music] During intense fight scenes, both devices are experiencing FPS drops. But the iPhone is experiencing more FPS drop as compared to the S25 Ultra. I think it’s because the S25 Ultra has a vapor cooling chamber, which keeps the chipset cool so that it continue to give high performance under heavy graphic load. But since the 16 Pro does not have a dedicated cooling chamber, the A18 Pro chip is starting to get hot and that’s why it’s experiencing more FPS drops. [Music] I got careless Suffocate. Freeze. [Music] Suffocate. Don’t push your luck. Cool it. [Music] Object. [Music] You’re in for a little shock. Blitz [Music] [Music] the wrong time. Apart from the hilly turtle, there’s a bunch of funny looking people, too. Judging from the type of wind, I’d say this one is a raptor. Dodge this. But if that’s the case, what are they hanging around here for? Dodge this. [Music] Cool it. Freeze. [Music] Dodge. [Music] Freeze. Ah, trees. [Music] [Music] [Music] Well, this easy punch can’t slow us down, that’s for sure. Freeze. But we only forget these guys. Come on. Let’s keep following the elemental merchant lead. [Music] [Music] Don’t push your luck. [Music] No pain, no gain. [Music] [Music] How fortunate. [Music] I’m not [Music] ha [Music] Who are you? [Music] She disappeared. Freeze. What are you doing here? No. Run. I’ll race you there. Oh no, we’re busted. Run. What? Follow me. [Music] All right, it’s been about 1 hour of playing Genshin Impact on both devices at maxed out settings. The S25 Ultra’s battery has dropped from 100% to 67%. While the iPhone has gone from 82% to 49%. Which means both of these consume 33% battery. Now, let’s check the temperature. The S23 Ultra’s temperature is over 43° and the iPhone 16 Pro’s temperature is also over 43°. So, after an hour of intense Genshin Impact gameplay, here’s the takeaway. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and Galaxy S25 Ultra delivered solid gaming performance with the same battery consumption and similar heat levels. However, when it comes to frame rate stability, the S25 Ultra clearly had an edge thanks to its vapor chamber cooling system, which helped maintain consistent performance under pressure. The iPhone 16 Pro might support higher frame rates on paper, but in real world gameplay, it struggled to maintain those numbers for long, especially during heavy combat. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad gaming phone. It still performed great. But if you’re someone who plays a lot of graphic intensive games and values consistent performance over peak frame rate, the Galaxy S25 Ultra might be the better pick. Let me know which one would you choose for gaming. And that’s a wrap for this one. If you enjoyed the gaming test, then give it a like and hit that subscribe button. I’ll catch you in the next one.
We compare the iPhone 16 Pro and Galaxy S25 Ultra in Genshin Impact, max graphics, 60/120 FPS gameplay, and battery drain test. Which flagship handles 2025’s top mobile game better?
