台北国際ゲームショウは、国際的インディーゲームアワード「Indie Game Award(IGA)」のファイナリストを発表した。2026年度は51の国と地域から515チームがエントリーし、昨年比1.5倍の規模で過去最多を更新した。さらに今年はノルウェー、アラブ首長国連邦、パナマ、スロベニア、キルギスの5か国が初参加し、作品の多様性がこれまで以上に広がりました。
IGAの特徴のひとつは独自の「一次審査システム」にある。すべての応募作品は開発者同士による相互評価によって審査され、地域や言語の壁を超え、世界中の開発者が互いのゲームを体験し、独創的なデザインやメカニクス、ゲーム性の違いを学び合う貴重な機会となっている。
今後行われる二次審査では、国内外のゲーム業界専門家、メディア、過去のIGA受賞チーム、コンテンツクリエイターなどから構成される審査委員が、ストーリー、サウンド、アート、ゲームメカニクス、創造性といった多角的な観点から試遊審査を実施する。最終的に、「ベストゲーム賞」を含む全8部門の受賞作品が選出される予定。受賞タイトルは、台北ゲームショウ会場内の特設展示エリアで一般公開され、来場ゲーマーが実際にプレイ体験できる機会も提供される。
さらに、本年度のIndie Houseの参加申込は本日で締切となるが、締切に間に合わなかったチームのために補欠登録も近日中に受付予定。世界のインディーゲームシーンで最も注目を集める展示舞台であるIndie Houseでは、会場での展示だけでなく、Steamセールイベントを通じたオンラインでの露出拡大も可能だ。
