「これは戦いでした。」←はい?前代未聞!ユービーアイソフトCEO「アサシンクリードシャドウズ」の文化戦争についてのビデオを制作しイベントでゲリラ発表してしまう。その内容が酷すぎた・・・

Good morning , everyone on your commute. It’s time for Pukta’s World News. Today, we’re going to be talking about Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. You’re all probably surprised, right? It’s still coming up. Today, we’re going to be talking about Ubisoft , the makers of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows . Ubisoft CEO Yves Roumeau reportedly spoke about the culture war that erupted in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows during an in-game event in Paris . Can you believe it? Finally, the CEO of Ubisoft has addressed this culture war. And, what’s more, he didn’t just mention it briefly. Ubisoft actually made a three-minute video specifically to discuss it, and used it in his presentation . I’m tempted to call them Sweet Baby Inc. They’re good friends, after all. Well, when you look at what’s going on, it’s pretty awful. It’s packed with all the issues Ubisoft is facing , so today I’d like to take a closer look at what’s going on. This program brings you the hottest news from around the world. It’s the perfect channel to tune in on your commute, so please subscribe. Now, let’s get to the main topic. As you can see, everyone ‘s talking about Assassin’s Creed: Shadows today. I’m not sure how much of this will come up, but it’s amazing, isn’t it? I ‘m sure only Pukta, Dockry, or Cabbage-san remember Yasuke . Well, when a story like this comes up, we have no choice but to cover it. Today , Ubisoft CEO Evelyn Mo announced an incredible video at an event during Paris Games Week, so I’d like to take a closer look at the contents . Before we get into this topic, though, here’s something. This was released quite a while ago, on the 1st of this month. Shadows sales figures were announced . Since that article has come out, I’d like to briefly touch on it . Ubisoft had a lot of investment in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. Unfortunately, even the long-desired Japanese setting couldn’t save Ubisoft’s slowly sinking fortunes. Despite a strong launch, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has the lowest sales of its last five games . Why is this important? Assassin’s Creed Shadows was released unfinished and lacked many features. Controversy and the inconsistent portrayal of Japan during the Warring States period also hurt the game’s PR. Therefore, low sales are not surprising. And here’s the thing: Assassin’s Creed Shadows initially reached 3 million players within just one week of its release. However, six months after its release, total sales have now reached 4.3 million copies. This is not a good figure considering the estimated $250-350 million in development and marketing costs. Assassin’s Creed Mirage sold 5 million copies within a short three-month period. Despite being a spinoff, it performed better than Shadows . Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed Origins and Odyssey have reached a combined 80 million players, and Valhalla surpassed 20 million in just two years. Given this , it seems unlikely that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will surpass its predecessors in the same time frame if it continues in its current position . So, Tech4Gamers recently reported that Assassin’s Creed Shadows has sold a total of 4.3 million units in the six months since its release, the lowest figure of the previous five titles. So, this article came out. Well, as anyone following this channel knows, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has not released sales figures. The company did not respond to shareholders’ inquiries , and the audio was released, but the data appears to be based on estimates from a Norwegian data analysis company. With that in mind, I think today’s article is very interesting. They needed to stop assigning points to the haters. UBSoft won the battle over the backlash against Creed Shadows. So, while the headline mentions victory, it doesn’t actually appear in the headquarters. It’s merely a title Dia came up with. According to Game File, UBIA Soft CEO Yves Guillemot was scheduled to attend Paris Games Week and give a speech on technological innovations such as external game worlds, AI-driven NPCs, and the potential of VR . However, before that , Guillemot first analyzed the backlash from Assassin’s Creed Shadow fans, then screened a video for attendees that described Game File as very corporate, yet also very tragic . The video explained how the company has turned things around . So, as we’ve covered before, Game File has published an article about what UBI Soft CEO Yves Guillemot said at Paris Games Week. Apparently, the content of this speech was truly a consolation prize. In a condolence video released in Paris, UBI Soft documented the entirety of the nasty culture war surrounding Assassin’s Creed: Shadows . It says “Messi.” This is today’s keyword. The word “ne” here means “messy,” referring to a person who appears dirty, messy, or in disarray. The “nesu” here refers to a business card, and the “mese” mentioned earlier refers to a paper. This is also often used in movies, like “Idolmaster Tap.” This means “I messed up.” When used in a more profane way, it becomes the F-word. If you’ve made a terrible mistake and are feeling down, you might use the F-word. So, for example, if you’ve messed up your room, this is a very common word to use. So, in a condolence video released in Paris, UBI Soft documented the entirety of the nasty culture war surrounding Assassin’s Creed: Shadows . “We’ve received many requests for an explanation of what happened,” UBSoft CEO Yves Roumout said to a gathering of game industry insiders at a Paris Games Week event last Thursday. That’s why I’m sharing this video with you today. The incident Guillemot is referring to is the online backlash Assassin’s Creed: Shadows received in mid-2024 . Things are getting interesting. The CEO himself is speaking about the backlash Shadows received . What will he say? First, here ‘s the media’s take. Last spring, the franchise made its long-awaited foray into Warring States Japan , releasing its first full-scale trailer. However, shortly after, the game became the target of criticism from Elon Musk for featuring a Japanese male samurai co-protagonist . The video Guillemot showed the audience on Thursday was 184 seconds long, or roughly three minutes. It was a special, professionally narrated video explaining how UBSoft handled the situation. It’s rare for game companies to publicly address these types of incidents. At this game event, the CEO of UBSoft spoke about this whole culture war, praising a video he himself produced in-house using a professional narrator. And of course, as it says here, normally, it’s obvious that this isn’t the case . I’m talking about any presentation. And this narration is incredible . Here. The video begins like this: What happens when a legendary franchise releases one of the most anticipated experiences in years? If it turns into a game that everyone loves to hate, then everyone loves to hate . Isn’t that amazing? UBSoft is aware of this. Assassin’s Creed Shadows has become a game that everyone loves to sleep with. The main points of this video and its The later statement about Gillemot’s death was initially made by UBIA Soft. Confused by the backlash, they delayed the release, polished the game, and lit a fire under the fire to appeal to Assassin’s Creed fans. As a result, the fans themselves tried to create a way to defend the game. The narrator explained, “We had to stop focusing on those who hated us. We had to start mobilizing our allies.” After the video screening, Guillemot spoke on stage in Paris, saying, “We’ve been working for the last year to present Shadows as a game, not an ideological expression . ” He said he was initially surprised by the intensity of the attacks, and quickly realized it was a fight. The CEO of UBIA Soft said this backlash was a fight. It was a fight to show fans that we are, in fact, a video game, not a message . That’s the key point: we’re fighting together with our fans. This isn’t against us, but, well, we do see haters as the enemy. Guillemot’s presentation in Paris was unexpected . Even the official announcement for the event vaguely described what CO would be talking about as technological change , with no mention of Shadows or the backlash it received. This was at the beginning. He was supposed to be talking about VR and related topics, but in fact, he was talking about the culture war surrounding Shadows. In fact, in the latter half of the session, Guillemot touched on topics he and UBSoft have repeatedly discussed, such as the ever-evolving world of live games and AI – driven NPCs. However, before diving into those, the first topic was the backlash against Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Regarding the condolence video, as this article also touches on, as GameFile points out, while the video attempts to portray a confident UBSoft, it doesn’t address the actual reasons for the backlash. Did you notice this ? This is the point. It doesn’t address the reasons for the backlash . Also, Star Wars Outlaws had previously had a disappointing launch, and it’s possible that UBSoft felt it couldn’t afford to release consecutive unpopular titles. In other words, the video doesn’t address the other reason for the game’s release delay and the increased development effort . So, the video reported here talks about Shadows’ culture war, but it doesn’t say anything about why they received such backlash . So, I think this is the honest understanding of UBI Soft’s CEO . Why are they being backlashed? What’s wrong? This is it. Well, of course , there was the incident with the Sekigahara riflemen, and after that, Kageyama-san seemed to have had a really hard time, but from the perspective of the flag, it looked like they were reluctantly responding, but they did respond in the end. But that was really just one corner of the criticism, and there were plenty of other issues. UBI Soft doesn’t understand anything. And while everyone else complained, they realized there was no point in dealing with people who hated them, so they decided to fight this battle by targeting their fans . What do you think, everyone? Well, it makes sense, doesn’t it? It makes sense. This is what this news account reported about this incident. Since it’s an anti-war account , there are likely quite a few replies, but let’s take a look . Katsusoft is struggling to even secure the funds to keep the team’s hopes alive. They won’t last much longer unless they make a big effort. Even if people paid for the game, I wouldn’t play it. The stock price is at its lowest since 2012. Currently, UBA Soft’s stock price is down tremendously, isn’t it? It’s at this level year-over-year, and even compared to the past five years, it’s at this level. So, that ‘s what they’re pointing out. Does that mean they’ve stopped charging 90% of their customers ? That’s truly unacceptable business behavior. We should try to win people over , not call them weirdos. They’re French. It’s natural to define happiness and failure as victory. I couldn’t buy Shadows. I’ve played the Assassin’s Creed series many times in the past, but this one was decidedly cerebral . Ubisoft lost. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is crap, and their half-day propaganda failed. So, today, we’ve looked at the topic where the CEO of Ubisoft spoke about the culture war surrounding Assassin’s Creed Shadows . What did you think? Well, what do you think, everyone? It all makes sense, doesn’t it? Well, I think that’s what it was. That’s how Fukuda interpreted it . It’s so convincing, it’s almost refreshing. That’s what it was. Well, as I said at the beginning of the article, this was truly a long-awaited Japanese unit for the Assassin’s Creed franchise . You really don’t have to do anything special. It was a subject that was bound to be a success no matter what they did , but they managed to make it this much, which is amazing in a way. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. I wonder if there will be more talk of Assassin’s Shadows in the future ? I hope to be able to tell you about it again soon. That ‘s all for today’s video. If you enjoyed this video, please subscribe to the channel and click the like button. See you again on your commute to work or school. I ‘m Motashi Yukihime. It’s strange. It’s strange. What is that? My funnels are strange. It’s strange. The words that have honed my weapons
